The Operable product was designed specifically with the office refurbishment sector in mind. With sound attenuations available from 44dB RW to 57dB RW, there are no acoustic requirements that the Operable cannot cater for.

Naturally, with an increase in sound attenuation comes an increase in individual panel weight. As a rough guide, we calculate each level of sound attenuation to match that of its weight in Kg/m2. For example, a 44dB RW panel will weigh approx. 44Kg/m2. This calculation is to act only as a guide, an exact weight can be obtained by contacting us directly.


Sound reduction dB ratings are often quoted from laboratory test results which are misleading in respect of final performance values. They are merely useful for initial specification purposes. Independent on-site tests as carried out by Croxton are recommended as in-situ results will differ from laboratory test certification and are therefore the only true guide to achievable sound attenuation.
